One Lovely Blog Award!

I was nominated by fellow writer Judith Arnopp for the One Lovely Blog Award.
The award recognizes newer or up-and-coming bloggers who share their story or thoughts in a “lovely” manner, giving them recognition and helping them reach more viewers.
In order to “accept” the award the nominated blogger must follow several guidelines. I have these guidelines listed below.

The Rules for accepting the Award(s):

    1. Thank and link back to the awesome person who nominated you.
    2. Add the One Lovely Blog Award logo to your post and/or blog.
    3. Share 7 things about yourself.
    4. Nominate 15 other bloggers and comment on their blogs to let them know.

So, first, thank you Judith Arnopp for this wonderful compliment and opportunity. I love your blog and am sure others will too. http://juditharnoppnovelist.blogspot.co.uk/

Now then, seven things about me....

1) I am a 1/2th scale dolls' house miniaturist. What's one of those, I hear you cry!
I am a collector, maker, doer, crafter, painter, fixer, sculptor, etc. of all things to do with the wonderful hobby of doll's houses.

(This is not a photo of my house, this is from Janet Granger, showing her fabulous 1/12th scale needlepoint. http://janetgranger.wordpress.com/2010/10/27/finished-embroidery-tiny-needlepoint-in-a-gorgeous-regency-dolls-house/ )

2) One of the most wonderful things I've ever seen, which I am certain sparked my miniaturist hobby is going to Windsor Castle and seeing Queen Mary's own dolls' house. I remember as a child I was particularly surprised to see the King and Queen had separate bedrooms! ;-)

3) I once played the caterpillar in our school production of Alice in Wonderland. The costume was incredibly uncomfortable and I could hardly walk. I needed help to get up onto the toadstool! I didn't smoke any drugs! ;-)

4) When I was in the Brownies (Yes, I was a Brownie, so this once counts as two facts, right?), we had a fancy dress party and costume competition. My dad spent ages in the garage making my costume. I went as a Rubix Cube and WON!

5) I am addicted to Marmite. I sometimes cannot help myself. The best thing to do is to avoid buying bread so I can't make toast...which is almost impossible, isn't it?

6) My first car was a silver Mazda 323 saloon. It was the best car I ever had. I wish I still have it even though I love my Toyota! (There, two more facts in one ;-) ) This photo looks EXACTLY like mine, except it isn't, mine was actually a C registration, so it was newer than this Y reg.

7) I am currently putting the finishing touches to my sixth novel - Wickham, which is the third novel in my Pride & Prejudice Continues series. It's available for pre-order here. http://geni.us/3KBC
